Having issues with one of your Apple devices? You’re in the right place! In this post I’m going to walk through everything you need to know before you go to the Apple Store. I don’t work for Apple so this isn’t official advice or anything, these are just all of the things that I do if I’m ever having issues.
Step 1. Try The Basics First
Before you make an appointment with Apple Support, there are a few basic things you should try. From my experience, doing these few things has always resolved my issue. Watch the video linked below for the device you are having issues with.

Step 2. Go To The Apple Store
If those basics don’t work and you are still having an issue with your device, then I would recommend making an appointment with Apple Support, and going to the store so they can look at it. To make an appointment, go to Apple Support on their website, enter a brief summary of the issue like “iPhone frozen” or “MacBook frozen”, then scroll down and you should see an option to “Make a Reservation” at a Genius Bar. Click on that, it’s going to ask you to sign in, and then choose the store you want to go to, the date, and time.
Where to NOT Go
As a general rule of thumb, if you are having an issue with an Apple device – go to the nearest APPLE STORE. Do NOT go to one of those sketchy “tech” stores that always have music blasting and smell like weed. π€£ Like I don’t even know how those stores exist, but I would simply never step foot in one and DEFINITELY would never give them my iPhone or computer. I cringe even thinking about that! Also, another place to not go is your cell phone service company like Verizon, AT&T, etc. They specialize in cell phone service and internet, not the hardware or software. That’s why if you have an issue with an Apple product, you go to the Apple Store first. Then from there, if the Apple Store says it’s an internet service issue, then you would go to Verizon or AT&T, etc.
And those are all of my support tips! Do you have any questions? Let me know in the comments!

Straight forward and honest. Thank you. Good point on not leaving our trusted phones and laptops with sketchy stores. I havenβt seen (or heard or smelled) one of those but itβs good that you alerted your followers.
