This post has all of my recommendations for Jupiter, Florida! My parents live here so I’ve been coming to Jupiter for over 15 years now. It’s a great town, and I’m going to tell you all about it! 🏝️
Map
First, let’s get our bearings. 🤣 Here’s where Jupiter is on a map. It’s on the Atlantic side of Florida and it’s about a 2 hour drive North of Miami.
Getting There
If you’re flying in, you’re going to want to fly into Palm Beach International Airport (PBI). Then from there, it’s about a 30 minute drive to Jupiter. I’d recommend renting a car because you’re going to need to drive to a lot of things that I mention in this post.
Best Hotels
Jupiter Beach Resort
If you’re visiting Jupiter, the Jupiter Beach Resort is the place to stay. It’s right on the water and it’s great.

Best Things To Do
1. Beach
Of course, the #1 thing to do in Jupiter is go to the beach! If you’re staying at the Jupiter Beach Resort (which is the best hotel in town), then the beach there is great since they help with towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc. If you’re not staying at that resort, then 2 good public beaches are Carlin Park beach and Jupiter Beach Park by the inlet. If you go to Carlin Park, if you keep driving down A1A there are some pretty beach entrances and that’s where I always go!
2. Blowing Rocks Preserve
Another thing I like to do is go to Blowing Rocks Preserve. It’s a nature preserve with rock formations and a beach. It’s a nice place to go for a walk.
3. Boat Tour
A fun way to explore Jupiter is to take a boat tour! We used the Flying Lady Boat Tours one time and it was a nice narrated tour of the inlet.
4. Food Yacht Cruise
I actually haven’t done this yet, but it’s on my list! I heard about this cruise where you can have lunch or dinner and cruise around the inlet. If anyone has done this, let me know how it is in the comments!
5. Jupiter Lighthouse
Another fun thing to check out is the Jupiter Lighthouse. You can climb up it, see great views of the inlet, and there’s also a small museum with some history. Fun fact if you’re from Jersey, the same guy who built Barnegat Lighthouse also built the Jupiter Lighthouse! His name was George Meade.
Best Restaurants
1. Cafe Des Artistes
This is a great french restaurant with nice views of the marina.
2. Jetty’s
Jetty’s is a nice restaurant right on the inlet. It’s usually crowded so if you don’t want to wait, there are a ton of other great restaurants right there that you can walk over to. Then if you’re looking for a fun bar in that area, Topside at the Beacon is a great option, or the Square Grouper.
3. Tommy Bahama
Tommy Bahama is a restaurant in the Harbourside place area, which is another area with a bunch of restaurants to choose from. It has a walking path along the water so you can go for a nice walk if you finish dinner early.
4. Calaveras Cantina
Calaveras Cantina is a Mexican restaurant in the Harbourside place area. Great guacamole, tacos, and margaritas!
5. Dune Dog
Dune Dog is a casual restaurant that serves food like burgers, hot dogs, and other casual foods. People roll up here after a day at the beach. It’s decorated like a tiki hut and has great vibes. How could you not love this place??
6. The Burger Shack at Lighthouse Cove
The Burger Shack at Lighthouse Cove is a restaurant with mini golf and a playground. This and Dune Dog are great places to go to if you have young kids.
7. Pura Vida
If you’re looking for a breakfast / brunch spot, check out Pura Vida in Harbourside.
