This post has everything you need to know about the EPCOT park at Disney World! I review all of the best things to do, what the best rides are, and what rides you might NOT want to go on. π Also keep in mind this is a guide for adults / young adults for the most part. If you are a family and plan on going with kids under the age of 10, I would recommend entirely different rides and experiences. So stay tuned for that guide coming soon, and once it’s posted I will link it here!
EPCOT Overview
Before I go into the rides, here is a general overview about what EPCOT is. β¬οΈ

Ride Guide
Below is a key that I will use to describe all of the rides’ intensity. The green dot means it is a slow, calm, ride for all ages. The yellow dot means it has a bit of a thrill element, like it might have a large drop or be moderately fast. Then the red dot means it is a thrill ride and goes fast, or backwards, has large drops, or a loop. The caution sign means it may cause motion sickness, so if you are prone to that, it’s probably a good idea to either skip it entirely, or have it be the last ride of the day.
Ride Intensity Key:
π’ – Not intense ride, good for all ages
π‘ – Medium intensity ride
π΄ – High intensity ride
β οΈ – May cause Motion Sickness
High Priority Activities
These, I would say, are the most fun rides or activities in the park. If you have never ridden any of the rides below, I highly recommend prioritizing them for your next trip. They include:
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind – π΄
- This is a Guardians of the Galaxy themed roller coaster. Probably the best ride in the park!
- Spaceship Earth – π’
- I loved this ride. It’s a slow moving ride that brings you through the evolution and history of humanity. From the Stone Age, to the Egyptians, to the Romans, to present day. It was very interesting! And a must ride.
- Frozen Ever After – π’
- Slow moving ride through the story of Frozen. βοΈ
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – π’
- You get in a mouse (or should I say rat π) cart and journey through the kitchen, rat sized!
- Exploring each country at the World Showcase
- There are 11 countries to walk around, so there is a LOT to see. Walking through and exploring all of the countries alone would take all day, but try to explore as many as you can. Don’t rush through though, theres always next time!
- “Drinking around the world”
- Every country has drinks that are on theme with that country, it’s fun to taste test and try a few!
- Going during the Flower and Garden Festival
- This happens every year from around February to May, and it is definitely worth trying to plan your trip to EPCOT around this festival. The park is COVERED in flowers, and it feels so much more magical. πΈ
- Going during the International Festival of the Arts
- This is another festival that EPCOT hosts every year, and this one focuses on the arts like painting, music, etc. It usually runs from around January to February.
- Watching the fireworks
- EPCOT has fireworks every night in a show called “Luminous The Symphony of Us”. Definitely something you don’t want to miss!
Medium Priority Activities
Once you cover everything in the list above, these are some of the fun things I would recommend prioritizing next. They include:
- Test Track – π΄
- This is a ride that simulates a car going fast on a race track. It’s a fun ride, but it looks pretty old and dated. They actually just closed it down recently to renew it, so I’m very interested to see what improvements they make!
- The American Adventure – π’
- This is a show that goes through American history.
- Soarin’ – π‘
- This ride simulates soaring above various countries like Australia, India, France, and many more.
Lower Priority Activities
The rides listed below are still rides or activities to consider, but I wouldn’t prioritize them for your trip. They include:
- Mission: Space – π΄β οΈ
- This ride simulates going into space. Does anyone actually like this ride? Lmao I’m kinda kidding, but I’m also kinda not. I do not EVER plan on going on this again, and if I could do it all over, I definitely would have gone on “The Green Mission” which is supposedly the less nauseating version. I can’t say for certain though since I haven’t done it yet, but all I have to say is proceed to this ride with caution, and if everyone in your party wants to go on it, do the green mission. π
