This post covers all of the rock bands that you need to know about! There are so many great bands out there, but these are the ones that stand out to me, and I think are the best. Some are newer bands, some are older bands, and I’m going to review them all! 🎸
Concrete Castles
The first band I want to talk about is Concrete Castles. They are a newer band and released their first album in 2021, so they are definitely just still just getting started. Since they started out as a YouTube cover band, they have the whole music video thing down. For example, they made a music video for every single one of their songs on their second album, Brand New Me. That’s not normal! Rock bands definitely don’t usually do that, so it is VERY impressive that they did that with their second album.

PVRIS
PVRIS (pronounced Paris) released their first album in 2014 called White Noise, and it’s still probably my favorite album by them. Fire, Mirrors, and My House really just never get old. They’ve released 3 more albums since then, all great, so definitely check those out too.

Tonight Alive
Tonight Alive is an Australian band and they released their first album in 2011 and have released 3 more since. They have a similar sound to PVRIS, so if you like PVRIS, you have to check out Tonight Alive next.

Against The Current / Chrissy Costanza
Against The Current is a band from New Jersey! And not only that, but from like THE TOWN OVER from me in NJ! I could have seen them at like the stop and shop! 🤣 Well, at least the internet says Chrissy Costanza went to IHA which is one of the high schools close by, so I’m just going off that. Guess a lot of talent comes out of North Jersey! I’m referencing myself, get it, cause I’m also from North Jersey.. ok I’ll stop. 🤣 So they released their first EP in 2014, and have released 3 albums since. Their lead singer, Chrissy, has released some music independently from Against The Current, and I’ll list some of those songs below too.

Stand Atlantic
Stand Atlantic is also an Australian band, and they released their first EP in 2017. So also a very new band! They’ve released 3 amazing albums since then, and it seems like they’re also still just getting started.

Paramore
OK, everyone knows Paramore… so I don’t need to do much explaining here. 😄 They released their first album in 2005, so they’ve been around for a while and have made a TON of great music since. My favorite album of theirs still has to be Riot! with That’s What You Get, Misery Business, and crushcrushcrush, those are all just such classics.

Avril Lavigne
And it wouldn’t be a Best Rock Band list without Avril! Girlfriend, What The Hell, Sk8er Boi, all timeless classics. She released her first album in 2002, and has pretty much been releasing new music every year ever since. Even 20 YEARS later, she’s still making hits like Flames and I’m a Mess.
