This post has all of the best parks to visit in New York City! There are a ton of parks all over the city, but these are some of my favorites. 🌳🌇
1. Central Park
Central Park is the biggest park in the city. It’s 2.5 miles long and a half a mile wide, so this park is HUGE. It has walking paths, meadows, bridges, castles, and even a zoo! AND The Met is right there too! I’d recommend walking around and exploring all of the areas of the park, and if you don’t have much time you can rent a Citi Bike to cover more ground.
2. Hudson River Park
Hudson River Park is another great park to check out. It’s a path along the Hudson River and it has great views of downtown Manhattan. It’s also right next to some of the nicest areas of the city, like The West Village, Greenwich Village, Chelsea, and SoHo. Definitely do your shopping spree there!
3. The High Line
If you’ve never been to the High Line, you have to check it out. It’s an old railway that runs above the streets of NY, and instead of knocking it down, they turned it into a park!
4. Brooklyn Bridge Park
Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge and then going to Brooklyn Bridge park is another fun thing to do in the city.
5. Little Island
Little Island is a brand new park that was just built. It just opened in 2021 and it’s right on the Hudson River so it also has great views of downtown Manhattan and the city.
6. Bryant Park
If you are visiting NYC during the holidays, then Bryant Park should definitely be on your list. It turns into a Christmas Market and ice rink in December, so it’s one of the best things to do in the city during the holiday season.
